Who doesn’t know about the wrap dress?! In 1974 when her body-hugging wrap dress hit the market Diane became a household name. More than one million were sold by 1976. She left the fashion industry in 1985 to start a publishing house in Paris but came back in 1997 when the younger generation was searching for the original bright prints in vintage stores. In May 2016 she handed the reins at DVF (estimated sales: $500 million) to Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders, who will serve as chief creative officer.
She remains chair of the company. She is about living as the woman you want to be. That means independent, resilient, perhaps a bit stubborn. Always looking to the future, and adapting to change, while embracing love and passion. “Love is life is love,” is, naturally, her motto.
Til next time,
